Tapped & Packed – No.26

My first post for this LOVE… section.

This week I met up with my old assistant and friend Emilie at this great little coffee shop off Oxford Street. It’s called Tapped and Packed but only has No.26 painted on the outside. Although it was my first experience here, it was love at first sight.

I loved all the visual treats of No. 26; the quirky individual antique teaspoons and mismatched cutlery, Lyle’s Black Treacle tins housing brown sugar and it’s simple stripped back interior charm.  The staff were friendly and unpretentious for somewhere so trendy. It made it a place where I was happy to sit alone waiting for my lunch date watching the world go by – and the handsome clientele who seemed to gravitate to this place.

The food was seasonal, simple and seriously good. And the coffee? The coffee is amazing. Something these guys take seriously. Im going to check out their other shop No. 114 this week but I almost feel like I might be cheating…

If you are in the area check it out : Tapped & Packed, No. 26 Rathbone Place, London W1
